Mojatu had an incredible time on Sunday at our Black History Month Sports Festival, celebrating this year’s theme — Unity in Diversity. The event brought together people of all ages and backgrounds to honour Black heritage and culture through sport, creativity, and community.
The day was filled with energy, laughter, and connection. Our football matches were one of the main highlights, with The Tema team showcasing amazing talent and sportsmanship on the field. It was inspiring to see players and supporters come together, not just for the love of the game, but also to celebrate shared values of teamwork, respect, and unity.
Alongside the sporting excitement, there was plenty more to enjoy. Families and friends gathered to share delicious food, enjoy lively music, and take part in fun activities. The atmosphere was vibrant — filled with dancing, conversation, and a real sense of belonging.
Children had their own space to get creative with art and craft activities, expressing their ideas of culture, identity, and diversity through colour and design. Their artwork brought so much joy and added to the spirit of celebration throughout the day.
We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us — from the players and artists to the volunteers and guests. Together, we made it a truly memorable event that reflected what Unity in Diversity really means. Thank you for being part of this special celebration of Black History Month
